Technically it's still Godiva Eve here.

I'd like to thank you guys for your feedback on Lady Godiva. I too agree that it is a large step from Forever Yours and is on a completely different end of the song spectrum. However weird it is though, I like it. Enough to that when I hopefully have the money I'm going to buy it (and Michael's remix because it was just too amazing).

I know that a lot of people disagree with the way he's getting Godiva to chart, but it's no different from Forever Yours. It's just this time he knew before hand about the remix rule, and decided to do it again. I just feel people are being obnoxious almost because he wants to chart again. It doesn't bother me though, so I don't see why they're in a twist.

Also something that's annoyed me is this article:http://www.nytimes.com/roomfordebate/2012/03/28/the-power-of-young-adult-fiction/adults-should-read-adult-books About how adults should only read books for adults. What a stupid argument in my opinion. It's like saying that because a book was written and set in place for a certain demographic that it's all of a sudden untouchable to anyone outside it.

Also an article about the 'Y Generation' and how self-centered people are today. If you just Google y generation a bunch of articles will come up. The one we had to read in class was about how our generation is full of hypocrites who say we want to be eco friendly. I don't believe that for a minute. Where ever this guy gets his opinion, he may want to double check his resources. I feel like our generation has done amazing things with eco technology. I don't know, what do you guys feel? About the eco and book views?

On a cheerier less suckish note HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY DEIDRA! I'm glad to here that it was so awesome for you! A friend of mine's birthday is coming up this Friday and I wanted to play her Charlie's birthday song on my uke, but I can't get the strumming pattern down, I hope that whatever I decide to give her she like though.

A question that I must have missed last week was the one relating to siblings. I have three older brothers and an older sister. I get along okay with my older brother's, but not so much my sister. We fight on a regular bases, mostly because we share a room, and she's a slob compared to me. We aren't far apart in age, her 17 and me 15, but we have such different personalities. Like she's the one who knows whose who and I'm the girl that hides in the corner and wishes that no one would bother me to do anything.

Campion I feel pretty much the same way when it comes to asking for directions, especially after meeting the people of Boston. Whenever you ask them for directions, they send you all over, giving you the wrong way every time. With out fault I asked for directions to a pizzeria from nine different people and the last one, a police officer, finally gave me the correct way. Only after swearing that I wasn't from New York. So small note, people in Boston are mental.

Adam I can not confirm or deny that where I live in America has a high rate of arrests. Let me Google it...that was a bad decision...So I think one of the articles said there is a high stalking rate in Rhode Island, but I can't confirm or deny that either...However about a month ago someone was arrested like right outside my house for what I can only presume was drunk driving. It was like twelve in the morning and I was sleeping on the couch when the police car lights were all up in my face. It was horrible because it took the like an hour and a half for them to be done with it.

I spell colour "color", because as far as I know it's how we spell it in the America's. Depending I guess on where you live...And I also hate auto correct, because it tried to spell colour color, as it tried to again right then. I find I have to monitor my spelling even more with it than without it. A bit about school and stuff. We are now reading the Catcher in the Rye, which I have already read this past summer, but now I have to actually look for symbolism and crap. I hate analyzing books, a lot. I swear that half the stuff we discuss wasn't really meant to be a symbol. To my surprise I am passing all of my classes except Algebra. I'm not technically failing, but I'm not passing with a grade I'm totally in love with.

One last really cool thing before I go. So in gym or "Wellness" as my school calls it, we played a game called medic. If you haven't heard of it it's basically an over complicated game of dodge ball. If you get hit with the ball from the opposing team and it didn't hit the ground before it got to you, you had to crouch down and shout medic until the designated person arrives to pull you back into the game. The medic however is supposed to be secret from the opposing team. if they hit the medic, than all they have to do is get everyone else crouching and steal the other teams flag. Anyways me and a friend of mine convinced our team to get everyone to call me 'The Doctor' instead of medic. Yes, all that for that floppy ending, but it was so great at the time.

Our encounter this Saturday has been to what few may call long enough, so until next time...

~Katie

P.S. Okay I really hate auto correct. So many words that needed fixing from its wrath!

Food on the Brain

I've been super busy again this week, but I suppose it wasn't all that bad or anything. I had to do a bunch of art stuff for class (which I'm still not done), do work for the rest of my classes, and then finish my stuffs for Deidra's birthday. And I'll say happy birthday again right now just to have it in the post, even though I said it yesterday a couple times. And I will give you an internet cupcake since you usually do it for us. (I'd love to jump in that and just eat it all.)

In other news that's not really news. Um, everything's been going pretty good. I officially accepted my offer from the University of Ottawa. I had a stupid calculus test today. My room is a complete mess and I have to clean is still before Deidra comes over tomorrow. And yeah, enough rambling.

Katie, I don't really have favourites because it's so hard to decide but I do like The Book Thief by Markus Zusak, The Uglies series by Scott Westerfeld, and Storm Thief by Chris Wooding. I heard Lady Godiva, but honestly didn't really enjoy it.

Adam, that picture up there is a beaver tail. It's essentially a flat oval of dough that's fried and then they put a bunch of delicious toppings on it. That one has nutella and bananas, but my favourites are the plain cinnamon sugar one or the delicious maple butter one. Also, I'm reading The War of the Worlds right now. I'm like half way through, but I haven't had time to finish it yet. And about the crime rate thing, fun fact: Thunder Bay, the city closest to me and the one I visit the most often was named "murder capital of Canada" last year, not sure if anything has changed since then. (But even then it's not that bad honestly, you don't have to be scared to walk the streets minus this one place.)

Campion, I kind of get how you feel. I hate asking people for things like directions or help in a store so I usually just wander around until I find what I'm looking for. And yay! Another Avatar fan! I loved Avatar: The Last Airbender and I'm so happy that they're making a new series for it. Who was your favourite character? Mine was Sokka just because I thought he was really funny, but I also really loved Toph (she was totally hardcore). Have you seen the first two episodes of The Legend of Korra yet? I have, they were awesome. Finally, I spell colour the same as you, I'm pretty sure "color" is the American way of spelling it, if that was what you were referring to.

And now I leave you with this: There's something called pizza cones that I really want to try now that I've discovered its existence. Did you guys know such a thing existed? And you guys should totally listen to this Doctor Who Theme Dubstep. It's pretty good, even though I usually don't like dubstep.

DFTBA

P.S. - Don't know what's going on with blogger, but it won't behave for some reason and its messing up the formatting when I post, so yeah...
