Sorry I didn't post last week. I got home pretty late and was too tired to post. The Musical last week went amazingly. There were many funny and cute moments. I'm afraid I won't be able to actually watch the play unless the did film it and they gave me a copy.
I loved the overall experience. The songs were a lot of fun to play and the people in the cast and in the orchestra were all fantastic. When I headed to the orchestra pit with my violin before the musical on Saturday, I noticed each of us had a first-place, blue ribbon on our stands that said "State Fair - FHS 2012." Next to the ribbons were envelopes with each of our names on it. I opened up the envelope addressed to me to find a thank you note from teacher in charge of the musical - a teacher I've looked up to since my brother was in his choir - and $100 worth of giftcards. I was so shocked and amazed... and really grateful for everything.
I've never really emailed any of my teachers before, Katie. On The Catcher in the Rye... I didn't enjoy it. It just seemed dull, especially in the middle and towards the end. I don't often enjoy books that are like that though. We had to read it for class, which tends to make books seem more boring to me than they actually are.
Kira, I used to get migraines a lot, especially before I got glasses. I rarely get them now with contacts.
Kayla, I'm glad you enjoyed Fiddler on the Roof, that's one of my favorite musicals. I love Tradition and the song To Life. Fiddler was the musical my school chose 4 years ago when my brother was in high school. He was one of the bottle dancers. Did they have the bottle dancers when you saw it?
Because of the musical and track and everything, I've been getting to sleep late. I'm working to change that, so I'll be heading to bed shortly.
DFTBA
Kate
