I know that me being late with my posts and missing them is starting to become a regular thing and trust I desperately try to avoid being late or missing it but I don't have my own computer. My parents gave mine to my little brother (I'm honestly not sure why) so I don't have anything to post on anymore. Well I guess that it's time for another movie review (well, one of sorts).
Usually with film companies, the ones that make bad movies (thankfully) do not last very long. But unfortunately, there is one film company that always seems to stay in business, no matter how many bad films they make. I give you, the asylum. You may know some of their work, like snakes on a train, alien vs hunter and Sunday school musical. I know that you may think that these movies are just parodies cashing in but no, these films are dead serious and played completely straight. They are simply just a bunch of cheap knock offs, having similar titles and even similar covers to the ones their ripping off. People watch for either one or two reasons, reason one people mistake them for the originals or (like me) they watch them because they love making fun of bad movies.
One of their earlier films, War of the worlds, ripping off of Steven Speilberg's film of the same name, was mistaken for the original and the video store chain blockbuster ordered several million copies of them and they've been doing the same thing ever since. In fact, they have never lost money on a film and because they really don't care about their movies and their crappy production values they can churn out about 15 films a year. In fact they have over three hundred movies released, with most of them making well over a million per film. Needless to say that when bad movie night rolls around, these guys are at the top of the list.
Well I think that that's enough of my negative ranting.
So have an awesome week guys
DFTBA
