We watched 2001: A Space Odyssey in Media Studies... I have never done drugs and I never plan to... but after this film I think I have a good idea of what it would it would be like. It was just a really, really strange film, probably one of the strangest films that I've seen and this is coming from the guy who sat through Kung Fu Cyborgs. It was a weird film but it did have some bits that I really loved, like the antagonist of the film, the spaceship's computer the HAL-9000. I loved it how he had no emotions and he spoke in a monotone but his voice seemed to have this inherent smugness and mocking tone to it. But there was one scene that I will never understand, imagine a combination of a lava lamp, some windows screensavers and a kaleidoscope, now imagine watching for twenty minutes. There was literally twenty minutes of random flashy images that seriously made me question weather or not I was high on drugs (but considering the fact that this film was made in the 60's I think that the producers might have been). But despite this, it is a good film and I did enjoy and it really is Sci-fi classic.
And Deidra in response to your question I've always wanted a tail and a pair of wings. Flying would just be so awesome. Also does anyone know if a nerdcore boy band exists? I'm just curious is all...
