You may have been dreading this, but it has happened nonetheless. Kira, the girl who knows, well, nothing, has returned. Please excuse the comma splice. That last sentence didn't even make sense.
Has anyone else ever gotten their hopes up, then been let down? Obviously, you have. Everyone has. But has anyone ever had one of their closest friends sabotage your lifelong rivalry?
I'm kidding, of course. It's not a lifelong rivalry-I've only known the said rival for a year. But either way, we compete about everything. We asked another friend to judge one of our contests. Apparently, I'm king...but he's god.
But none of you want to hear about me. So let the ramblings go on to something interesting!
I warned you about spontaneous book reviews. The question is, are you ready for them?
The book Rebecca is one that I've always enjoyed. So why, you may ask, am I reviewing it now? The answer to that is...I don't know.
I'd love to give some deep philosophical reason, but I don't have one prepared. So I think I'll just write.
Rebecca is a very good book, with real characters and an interesting plot. I remember that when I read it for the first time, I was expecting to find out what the main character's name was. I was just waiting, thinking, okay, give us the name already.
I liked that we didn't learn it in the end. I didn't really feel like the story was about her as much as it was about Rebecca and Maximilian. She was just used to tell their story.
While Rebecca is a good book, it isn't superb. The narrator was my least favorite character, because she fell flat to me. She seemed like the most bland out of all the characters.
Impromptu book review over. Not like that was much of a book review.
I fear that this post is getting too long, so I'll leave it at this.
DFTBA
Kira
