Nightmarish

I am a big procrastinator. This can be backed up by the fact that I was nearly 17 when I finally got my beginners driver's license. Because of that, I spent the past four days of my lovely relaxing summer stuck in driving school. I have little interest in actually driving. I passed my test in mid-March, and have only driven twice. Now I have to drive with an instructor, and be actually good and not kill anyone. Not that I did that the first times.
Driving just isn't all that exciting to me. I mean sure, I could go where I wanted, once I passed everything and such, but I live in such a small place that there is nowhere to go to. I could drive to Kayla's, which is usually a long drive for my parents, since she lives in the next town over, a half hours drive. But we see each other at school. And if I wanted to go somewhere in town, which I never do because I'm such a loner, I could just walk.
Now my parents are done putting up with my procrastination. Driving lessons are coming, and my mom wants them done real soon. She's getting all control-freaky about everything. I mean, its not like she's ever asked me if I wanted to drive the car or anything.

Anyway, since I've been busy with that, I haven't really had any time to think about designs for a Doctor Who bear, but it is on my to-do list now. I'm trying to think of a way to incorporate the three doctors from the newest seasons, since they are the only ones I really know, but also because I love them.
I used to be more sporty when I was in elementary school, where I played on all the teams except for track and cross country, because I hated them. Since I've gotten into high school though, I've given up playing sports, partly because I don't like the way they are done, and partly because there is so much more work now then there used to be.
Welcome back Kira! It's good to hear that you a nice time. Also, congrats on getting into Pottermore early. I like the sound of your user name, mostly because it has the Lumos spell in it. I always loved that one.
The rules of that game sound extremely complicated Campion. I have no idea how in the heck you manage to actually play it. I think I would constantly be asking questions, and it would not be enjoyable at all. It would probably be more entertaining to watch, though. I don't have a YouTube channel that I post anything on. I tried doing something a while back, but I was too shy to really get anything. I'm not really the type of person to share like that. I'm much better with words, as you can clearly tell from my mile long posts. I do like watching vlogs though. They are a great way to get to know people.

Anyway, it's getting late because I completely forgot it was Thursday and Kayla had to remind me, so I'm going to go and sleep and have nightmares about driving and whatnot. So dftba and stuff.

Its For The Lolz and Stuff

Hello you wonderful people of awesomeness! I had a very okay-ish week. However I am in an awesometastic mood, so yea, rainbows and kittens and stuff...:D

I can never for the life of me remember what I was going to say or what you guys said that I want to address/answer. So this is going to be hopefully very long if I can remember/find it all. Lets start with my own excitement and move from there, shall we. I am bursting at the seams with joy for two reasons or more. 1. My friend went to camp in France, and she sent me a postcard! So lets count, that's mail from England and a postcard from France. I will hopefully be writing her back sometime this week! 2. I might be going to see Katie Costello LIVE! I'm not sure if you have heard of her, Alex Day blogged about her once, and I fell in love with her music.

Next, I'm not sure if we have any substitutes for Mars Bars that you don't have. I also have had a Kinder Surprise Egg one Easter when I was four. Not sure if they're still around in the states or not. Kayla I'm so excited to see the progress of your flower sprouts! I love growing things, sadly I don't have and can't start a garden. My dog would eat all the crops :( It would be lovely to fill my front and back lawn with a garden!

Kate I am currently downloading the first Doctor on my computer and I can't wait to watch past episode one. I have also made several scrapbooks. Two of them are from my Wish to Disney World when I was eight, one from several field trips to places like farms and museums, and one of them is of my animals which is mostly cats.

I don't have a favorite food. I'm a flexitarian, which is a part-time vegetarian. I really only eat meat on Thanksgiving, by force may I add because turkey is disgusting. I must say though, that I love pineapple. Also I don't plan on seeing the 3rd Transformer film. I didn't like the first one to begin with, just not my thing. I used to watch the show with my sister when I was younger, but even then it didn't interest me.

I do, however love Pokémon. I have the first 150 in card form, my sister has little figures, a monopoly game and the video games. We used to play the card game with the little figures to make it more real because we're just that dorky. And  Pokémon wasn't just me and my sister, it was my entire family of five children. Something I forgot and will mention now is that is there such a thing as Doctor Who Bear? I was wondering because my mom misheard my brother when he said Doctor Who and thought he said Doctor Who Bear, which is awesome. If it isn't already a thing I think we should make it a thing and have it be our mascot!

I do read online comics Kayla, and yoU could probably guess about what. Yep, cats. here are three I'm currently reading.
Doctor Cat: http://doctorcatmd.com/2011-01-10/doctor-cat
which is about a cat who is a doctor.
Cat Vs Human: http://catversushuman.blogspot.com/
which is a women who does comics about her cats, and occasionally her dog.
And lastly Lackadaisy: http://lackadaisycats.com/
which is more than a just comic about cats. It is truly awesome and I recommend it 100%.

My music recommendations are
Katie Costello, and her song Ships in the Night:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bl9Rmx2ySC8
Al Stewart, and his song Year of the Cat [I just can't sut up about cats tonight!]:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QM7LR46zrQU
Amy MacDonald, and her song Love, Love: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_mTpGECQjj4

I also might get a Twitter and Tumblr, not sure. I'll let you know how Katie Costello, my efforts to get a chicken,Twitter, and Tumblr work out!
Bye!<3
P.S. Did I not mention the chicken? Well I want a rooster. I shall name him Colin. Colin the rooster [lol].

Nostalgia

My week has been filled with nostalgia, partly since my niece Jemma is here visiting, and partly because I have been playing a great of Pokémon. It has all been a lot fun, but also very tiring. I have been taking afternoon naps with Jemma, since I have been getting up much earlier to babysit her, as my parents are working. I have also been forced to watch children's television shows once again, and I think I may be going slowly insane. A person can only take so much.

I recently achieved a goal of mine that I have been working on for a long time. I completed the Pokédex on my Yellow Version game pack. I have been slowly working on it since around March or April. I caught all 151 Pokémon, including Mew using the glitch/cheat. Generation I is always my favourite, and will always be what I consider 'true' Pokémon. My favourite Pokémon are Squirtle, Lapras, and Eevee. What are your favourites?
I have never really thought of any of the legendaries as favourites, because I thought it was cliché that people always chose them as their favourites or filled their 'dream parties' with them, but Mew was always my favourite of that type. Mostly because it was so cute, and it was very powerful in the movie.
I think I will start a generation II game soon, and try to complete that game's Pokédex as well. It was a fun challenge, even though you don't really get anything out of it. Professor Oak just congratulates you, and the game designers show you a certificate that says that you completed the Dex.

I know exactly what you mean about procrastination, Kayla. Whenever there is something important that needs to be done, I suddenly think of dozens of fun things that I want to do, but when I have time to relax, I can't think of anything, and the ideas that I thought were fun just seem boring. Also, you should show us how your sunflowers are coming along.
Adam, I don't really listen to music all that much, especially in the summer. I listen to most of my music in the winter, during the long bus rides too and from school. I also get up pretty early in the morning for school, so I usually end up sleeping on my bus rides as well. Music is amazing, and I love it, but it isn't something that I really think about too often. Furthermore, zebras.
Katie, I didn't  know that you didn't have Mars Bars in the U.S. That's just depressing! Mars Bars are great. Well, they're alright. Do you have like, a substitute chocolate bar that we Canadians don't have to make up for it? Also, I usually always keep my room clean (I'm kind of a neat freak), so it always makes me chuckle when people say it takes them a long time to clean their rooms. Even the spring cleaning only takes me an hour or two.
Your new blog looks really great Kate. I am looking forward to reading more from you. Well, more that isn't a.W.o.A related. I don't really do scrapbooking, because I like to look at the things I collect. I do however have a Wall of Stuff that is full of art and other things, and a cork board with cards and stuff. I will show you another time.
I don't really have a favourite food, Kira, because like you, I think that food is just good. I'm not picky, and I'll try just about anything, to a certain extent. I don't I could ever be a vegetarian though. I can understand the grounds for it, but I enjoy meat. I would like to try it sometime in the future, just to see how I would do with it. I do have a favourite drink though, and that would be iced tea.
Campion, I have never watched any of the Transformers movies, and I do not really intend to watch them. They are just not the type of movie that I like.

Anywho, this has been a really long week, and it isn't even over yet. So don't forget to be awesome, and Poké-on!

Zombies

So I'm lying in my bed all ready to fall asleep, and I start thinking about better ways to do things. How to cut spending and be more efficient with time, energy, the usual. I can feel myself drifting off to rem sleep, and suddenly I say to myself, "fuck, I forgot to write a post." Yup. I really need to remember these kinda things better!
I went to the zoo on Friday. It was a different zoo, out of state that was supposed to have a wider range of animals. It was a lot of fun, because it was just me and my mom spending time together. I love the lions and tigers. I would show you a photo, but my computers being difficult. So here is one off Google, the tiger looked like this one so I  see no real harm.

Some YouTubers:
ICOEPRproductions, his name is Sammy and he is really funny. He just hit 900 subscribers or so.
savanamazing, is a girl named Savannah and she is a really random, awesome person.
naveregnide, Evan is about the best person, ever.
redhairedgirl35, her name is Hilary and she's fun to talk to and be around. She's full of creativity.
ThePatrickWorld, Patrick rambles a lot, but he has one of those voices that you can just listen to. He should be a narrator.
NaTaLie7134, is that awkward and random girl. Her all around nerdiness is something more than awesome.
And finally a guy I found through the nig actually, zetidoburrito. Tyler is just starting out on YouTube, with only forty-one subscribers. He seems like he'll do very well despite his low status.
Only one book comes to mind and that is Saving Max by Antoinette van Heugten. It's a thriller murder mystery kind of thing. I wouldn't knock it though. It was absolutely an amazing read. Also Deadline by Chris Crutcher. I'm really tiered, so I think I'll end with a question and go. What's your favorite animal at the zoo?
Bye!♥

Perception Filter

I don't know if anyone noticed, but I took all of the links from our first posts and put them in on the sidebar. Not all of us have links, because not everyone gave some, but I did a bit of detective work and found a few extra things. I couldn't find Campion's YouTube channel (hard as I tried) and Adam didn't leave anything.

I was looking at a discussion on the Ning this morning, and I want to know your opinions on it. What do you guys think of literary 'classics'? Are they classic only because of their age, or are the stories within classic? Do you enjoy them more than other books, or do you think they are just regular books that have been sort of over glorified?

That's my perception of them. The few I have read have been good books, but nothing so good as to place them above or beyond anything else I have read. I don't really think they are timeless or anything like that. Maybe it is more because of their age, and the fact that they are still being printed and read today. I don't really know.

Another thing I discovered this morning is that Gibberish is apparently a real language that you can learn to speak, with different dialects depending on what part of the world you are in. I tried to read a few sentences with it, but I think it might be impossible. Give it a try, you sound insane when you 'speak' it out loud.

One thing I did in the past week was get my hair cut. That may not sound like much to you guys, but with me it's kind of a big deal. Since about first grade, my hair has been past my shoulders, and worn in a ponytail every single day. And I mean every day. So finally, I decided it was time I changed things. It's now only about 2 inches long in most places, and sort of puffy at the top. There is a picture on my blog, if you want to see.

It may look and sound like a big change, but to me it hasn't been. I guess since I always wore my hair up, it doesn't really feel different; there was never really any hair blowing in my face or anything like that. Everything is just more, light.

Anyway, before this post becomes as long as forever, there is one more thing I want to say. Today is July 7, 2011. (I almost wrote 2010.) On this day, in history, sliced bread was sold for the first time, back in 1928, by the Chillicothe Baking Company in Chillicothe, Missouri. Now how is that for some perspective?

I'm bad with titles, so I'm not sure what to put? What day of the week is it again?

Hey, hi, hello! I'm Katie, the lovely person who writes on Sundays. I've currently only been awake for an hour, so I do apologize if I ramble or something. I think I'm going to start off answering the various questions.

1. How I became a Nerdfighter is a wonderfully weird tale. Being a fan of Doctor Who [and having a YouTube account] I decided to go on YouTube and see what content they had for Doctor Who. A few videos down and I saw a guy with red hair in the caption[Charlie], with the title Doctor Who? I watched it, liked, then didn't subscribe to Charlie for three months. After I did subscribe I found the vlogbrothers, and you know, BOOM Nerdfighter!  I told you it was weird.

2. Zombie's, Pirates, Purple, December eighth.
Two facts about my birthday is, 1. John Lennon died that day [1980], and 2. Jim Morrison had the same birthday[1943]. So a positive and a negative, isn't that nice!

3. I have a cat named Kristal [yes, like the drink], a dog nicknamed Bear [full name? Grisly Bear Johnson Jones Adams Jr. the Third. My brothers dog.], a guinea pig [not sure how to spell her name, its from an Anime my sister watches.], and two leopard geckos whose names I never remember!

I should probably let you know some general things.

Music: I'm obsessed with The Who, and my friends tease me to know end. This year in school we had to do superlatives for the kids in our class [its a small school] and mine was near the end, and I didn't know what they came up with, so I was a bit worried. Most likely to be The Who's band groupie. I hate them for that! However that's not the only band or genre of music I listen to. I like music from the 1940s' to the 1990s'. From Dean Martin, Frank Sinatra, The Beatles, and The Monkees. To Bon Jovi, Queen, The Presidents of the United States, and Madness. I'm not actually a big fan of 70s' music, its got a lot of soul. I do like some modern music, but the only thing that comes to mind is Lady Gaga. I also like classical composers like Bach and Mozart. I like YouTube musicians like Alex Day, Chameleon Circuit, Tom Milsom, and Hank. I've never really listened to Country, Rap, Hip-Hop, things of that nature.

Television: Doctor Who, Top Gear, Torchwood, Star Trek, How I Met Your Mother, Whose Line Is It Anyway, Invader Zim, and most recently Franklin and Bash.

Other things: I live somewhere in the U.S., I'm a flexitarian, a part of the Nermie Army, I ramble obviously, I like using random colors, I LOVE art, I'm terrible at math [need a tutor!], I'm fourteen almost fifteen, I've just reached five foot, and I'll see ya tomorrow Kate!

P.S. I'll leave some links I guess.
