Almost Turkey Dinner~

Yay, so I'm off for Thanksgiving weekend. I can't wait because tomorrow we're having a delicious turkey dinner and for dessert there's homemade pumpkin pie. I loooooooooooove homemade pumpkin pie, possibly more than chocolate and that's saying something. And I get to have this awesome meal with my whole family, which makes it even better. I know Thanksgiving is a Canada/US holiday (even though they're at different times) so I was wondering if there's a holiday that you guys have around this time instead, or is there just nothing until Hallowe'en?

I did manage to watch part of Stickaid this year, but not the whole thing like I said I would. I was super tired so I missed the very beginning and most of the end. What I did see was really awesome though. Like Deidra I thought the RH Experience was really funny, and they just had to get Charlie to kill Mr. Bun again didn't they. And Spike was pretty awesome, he just took everything in stride even when they made him be nyan cat.

On a side note I haven't shown any pictures of my sunflowers in a while. Actually only 2 are left alive, I think there was too many packed into that small pot so yeah. But the two that are left are growing quite nicely. They're back at home right now (hopefully they won't die over the weekend). They were also selling these little venus fly traps at the grocery store so I bought one of those because it's a super cool plant. Apparently they're supposed to be kept super moist which is good since the last time I killed a plant it was from overwatering it.

As for NaNoWriMo, I signed up for it last year and wrote for a couple days before giving up. I hope to actually do it this year and I have several ideas for stories so I just have to choose one. We'll have to see how busy with school I am though. I think that writing is easier if it's something that you can relate to so I always try to incorperate different aspects into my story that I've witnessed, or gone through, or know lots about. Also for NaNoWriMo exclusively I have one piece of advice: take the mini person that's in your head that edits everything you write, lock them up, and hide the key somewhere you won't go back to until December. It's extremely hard to keep on schedule if you keep going back to make things sound better or fix little mistakes.

The longest trip I've been on was probably about 14 hours. I've done it several times to visit my sister in Ottawa. Most of the time we split it up into a two day trip so it's not so bad, but once we did it all in one day. Also since I live in a smaller town we drive to Thunder Bay a lot, sometimes every weekend, and that's a 3 hour trip so it's weird for me to think about your situation Adam. Do you travel around a lot since it doesn't take an extremely long time to get anywhere?

Katie, I feel you for your problem with internet and Irl friends. There are so many things I find or do on the internet, but I can't really share them because people would just get confused and look at me weird. It's not that they don't go on the internet, it's just that they aren't interested in the same things as me.

Campion, thanks for the recommendation, I've heard of the series before, but never ended up watching it. It's on my list of things to watch, but I'm not sure when I'll get to it. I'm really behind in those things because of school.

Anyway this post is taking longer than I planned and I'm starting to get a headache so some quick things then I'll go. Katie, I think the quote means that it's easy to understand other people, but it's hard to understand yourself. Kate, good job by staying up for all of Stickaid. I like Quaker granola bars and I also really love homemade porridge. And no movie recommendation this week, I will however suggest the TV show Modern Family. It's pretty funny.

DFTBA
Kayla
