I love college. So very very much. Everyday I wander in and sit my lectures and my tutorials in math and physics and it's awesome. I get to spend it with people who share my passion for the subject, we can work together, bounce ideas off each other and just generally have a good time.
Monday evening, I just hung out with a couple of new friends and relaxed. We chatted about what clubs and societies we joined. I joined Basketball, Games, Sci-Fi and the Law society. Law is great because they organise great talks and debates.
Tuesday evening, I attended a glamour model debate. It was on the motion "Is glamour modelling a legitimate career?" There were some good speakers including some models but also they had some comedians who were just hilarious.
Wednesday night, the students union bar had a band called the Saw Doctors playing, they're really popular in Ireland because they've been around forever. They have real typical Irish type music, it's good to dance to, you should check them out.
Thursday night...... oh my Thursday night...... James and Oliver Phelps were in UCD.......
And things got kinda awesome............. Yes. That's right. I'm wearing pizza john.
They were very good, they spoke for about ten minutes each and then had an hour long Q and A which was amazing. They said they were surprised how many questions they were asked that they had never been asked before. They both seemed really nice and genuine people. It was a great night.
Anyway, my definition of a hero is someone who influences us for the better. Maybe that's a little simple but it's the only definition that could fit all my heroes.
I quite enjoyed writing this post, I hope you liked it. :)
I forgot to mention the best question:
ReplyDeleteQ: Are you on Pottermore?
