On the other hand

One week of college over me, it's been extremely tiring. College proper begins on Monday so I'll actually have full classes. Now, I feel like you guys are all getting a lot of homework and stuff and so since I'm the only person who isn't still in second level I've decided to focus on something different.

Every year UCD (University College Dublin) holds a fresher scavenger hunt. Freshers have the first two weeks of term to complete as many challenges as possible. Each challenge merits a different number of points, the person (or team, I'm not sure) with the most points on the 23rd of September wins. Video evidence of each photo must be posted on the Student Union facebook page. I'm also going to post the footage to youtube to start my youtube account. So, here's a few examples of the challenges.

1. Get a picture with the dean. 3points
10. Take part in a duel in the library using bananas instead of swords. 3points
12. Wear ridiculous fancy dress to a lecture. 4points
19. Propose to a lecturer in front of at least 100 people.  3points
22. Stand in the (busy) trinity courtyard yelling "UCD, UCD!" for three minutes. 3points
29. Sit in the front row of a philosophy lecture and respond to everything the lecturer says with "hmmm, interesting, but why?" (including when you are told to leave) 5points

Also, I should explain 22, trinity and Ucd are two (extremely) rival colleges, so 22 is basically a suicide mission.

So, I'm 18 on Monday and I'm really excited, since I'll be away from home we're having my birthday today (oh yeah, I'm a little late writing this), My parents bought me some nice aftershave and my sister made me a giant cookie :)

My new favourite joke: My friend died in a bowl of muesli, a strong currant pulled him in.
I'm really excited about all the famous people coming to the college to give talks, Brian Cox, Hans Zimmer and my favourite James and Oliver Phelps (Fred and George!)

Anyway I should go now, I haven't eaten breakfast yet.
