Vacation Time!

Sorry that this is late. My sister was borrowing the laptop and I've been busy all day. Won't have time to read or comment on all of your posts. I want to post on-time hopefully and I've got quite a bit to say.

So I'm on vacation with my family in Niagara Falls. We came down to that I could meet my nerdfighterlike/boyfriend, Hunter. It was pretty amazing. He kind of surprised me at the falls (my parents and sister were in on it). He had knitted me a scarf, so he came up behind me and asked if I had dropped it. It took me about two seconds to figure out what was going on, and then I jumped into his arms and hugged him. He's a sweetheart.

Anyway, I've gotten to do a lot on this trip. I saw the Falls, obviously. Those are amazing. Then got to go on a ferris wheel. Saw fireworks over the Falls on American Independence Day. Went to see Brave (it was amazing!). Tomorrow we are going to go on the Maid of the Mist ride, which is a boat ride that goes right up close to the Falls. It looks really fun from the top, hopefully I don't get sea-sick. I probably won't, I've been on boats before in rough (if not rougher) weather. But you never know.

Anywho, I hope you all have been having good summer breaks (and that school is going well for you, Campion). I don't want this to be late, and there are things I want to do before bed. So don't forget to be awesome, and I'll elaborate more next week when I have more time.

P.S- I will try and upload some pictures next week as well.

No Brain Today

I don't have a lot to say this week. Returned to school on Monday, very sadly. I did not want the break to end at all. But I did get my applications straightened out, which is good. Hopefully I will get a reply soon. I am writing my post outside today since it is so nice and sunny out. The break was really warm, and mostly all of the snow has melted. I think the high for today was somewhere near 18 degrees Celsius (64F).

I also didn't do anything special for St. Patrick's day this year. Not that I ever really have. Fun fact though, March 17 was the day that I was supposed to be born on. I think I would have hated having that as my actual birthday. I ended being born 12 days later, on March 29. I like that both of those days are prime numbers (I like prime numbers).

I actually have sort of eaten a beaver tail before, Kira. Two years ago Kayla and I went to Ottawa for a program trip, and she bought one while we were down town shopping. I traded a bite of hers for a drink of my Coke, and it was pretty delicious. If I ever go back to Ottawa, I definitely want to buy one.

My favourite John Green book is Looking for Alaska. It was the first one that I read, followed by Paper Towns, Will Grayson Will Grayson, An Abundance of Katherines, and The Fault in our Stars. I really loved LfA, the book was just amazing. I love the whole labyrinth idea. Also, I really liked the relationship between Pudge and Alaska. It's also my all time favourite book.

In honor of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo releasing on Bluray and DVD earlier this week, and The Hunger Games hitting theatres tonight, my nerdfighterlike Hunter thought to ask: what are your favorite and least favorite literature-to-film adaptations? (because I have no brain today and could not think of anything to ask you guys.)

That's about all I can think of to write. I don't tend to be the rambling sort, so I'll leave it at this. Don't forget to be awesome!

Gooooood Mornin' Awesomers!

Oh my gosh, I almost forgot to write my post! I have been busy all day, and slightly distracted this evening, so it totally skipped my mind that it was my day to post. I am going to be quick and not ramble (hopefully) so that I can return my focus to the movie that I am watching - Good Morning Vietnam.

I have never seen the Space Odyssey movie, Campion, but it sounds like an interesting movie. I also would like a pair of wings, but I don't know how well they would match the physiology of the human body. They would have to be very big to be able to support our weight, and I don't know if I would like them at that point.

You and I have had this conversation before, Kayla. When I meet someone new, I notice what they're wearing and what they generally look like. Then, because I always look people in the eye when I talk to them, I notice their eyes. Colour, shape, emotion. Eyes are one of my most favourite features on people. They convey so much.

I don't believe I use many local expressions or phrases, Adam. At least, none that I notice or can pick out. I like to believe that how I speak is more of a Deidra-expression style of speaking. Good luck on the 50 Book Challenge, I tried doing it last year and came pretty close.

Good luck on the musical, Kate. It sounds like it'll be a lot of fun. You should also post the song that you make, I'd love to hear it. Especially since it's on the uke and about Sherlock.

I was kinda obsessed about MLIA back in my first year of high school, Kira. It's an entertaining one. Very funny. I can understand why you like it and become distracted by it. Also, woo nerf guns and Harry Potter. I hope you found your maths homework before you left.

Hope you all have had wonderful weeks and that the weekend treats you well. Next week is my spring break, and I am very much looking forward to it. Don't forget to be awesome!
