100th Post

I don't know why, but this week has been very tiring. I even went to bed really early one night, and that didn't help. I am so thankful that this weekend will be a three day weekend for me, because I definetely need it. Not only to sleep, but to get some work done.

Stickaid was amazing. I woke up at 6:00am, to realize that I had messed up and gotten the time wrong. So I went back to sleep for an hour and half, and woke to see Myles snarfing a Kinder egg. It was a good beginning. I really liked the way it was done this year, with multiple co-hosts each with their own activities and such, as opposed to last year, where it was just Myles and Charlie and random people popped in and out.

My favourite co-hosts were the RH Experience, Connor, Luke and Tom. They were just hilarious. I think I missed a segment of theirs, but what I did see made me laugh so much. It was funny to see them do the Kinder challenge together. I also loved it when Charlie did his challenges. It was like watching all of the videos over again, but with even more awesome.

Thank you again Kayla for your awesome drawing. Oshawott would most definetely be my starter if I had that Pokémon version game. I have always been a water trainer. And Oshawott is the cutest of this generations starters. Snivy is alright, and so is Tepig, but they don't match up to the awesome-ness of Oshawott.

Adam, the longest car ride I've taken recently was a 2-day car trip to Saskatchewan to visit my Grandparents. It was really long and boring, mostly because I was in the backseat with my sister the entire drive. Canada is really vast, and I would not want to drive the entire way. Also, good luck with your song. Keep at it, you will get it eventually.  =)

Katie, that is actually a really good quote. I think it means that it is easier to understand others and their motivations, but it is difficult to understand yourself. It is easier to like others, and open up to them, but it is more difficult to like and accept yourself. I hope you are feeling better, and that tiny chickens aren't invading your head.

I'm with you, Kate. I want the second half of the year to be here already. That is when my more interesting classes are, and it would also mean being closer to graduation. This semester just doesn't seem to be going by fast enough. Also, congrats at staying up and watching all of Stickaid. I decided to go to sleep at midnight my time and get up to watch the final hour and a half. It was worth it, as the last bit was amazing, and I wasn't as tired to do m homework on Sunday.

Kira, I actually really like Granola bars. I don't find them dry or nasty. They are chewy, chocolate-y awesome-ness. And, woo French homework. Je t'aime français. I took it in grade nine and grade ten. I would have taken it again, but there weren't enough students to get a grade eleven class together. Oh well.

Campion, that is a Granola bar. They are amazing, trust me. Though not as good as porridge and brown sugar. Don't worry about my schedule, it's a minor clock in my room that is set to NZT. My main alarm clock is still set to me time. Though personally I don't use clocks, I use my cellphone mostly to check the time and to wake up in the morning. Also, the weather here has been nice this week, which has been really pleasant. I hope your exams are going/went well.

Anyway, I've procrastinated my homework enough with this post. I watched the last episode of Doctor Who, taking a break from Stickaid, and now I don't know what I'm going to do with my Saturday nights. Any suggestions? Don't forget to be awesome!!

Sometimes I Forget to Add a Title, Not Today

(Stealing Katie's idea)  This post will be orange in honor of Stickaid.

Stickaid started at 6 AM for me.  I had woken up at 5:30.  I started to get tired around 8:30 PM because I didn't have a good sleep the night before.  My cat had woken me up a few times.
Equipped with a delicious frappuccino and a cup of cold black coffee, I managed to stay awake and watch the whole show.  (I used the cold black coffee because it was the most disgusting thing I have ever tasted, and the taste would awaken me.)
For me the 20 and 22 hours were the two hardest hours.  That last hour went by so fast.  I was filled with so much feelings.  I felt proud of myself for staying awake, proud of Myles, and I just loved everyone.  Livetweeting the event with friends was so much fun.  I hadn't been that happy or had that much fun for weeks.

I've been debating whether I should do NaNoWriMo this year.  I want to, but I don't think I could actually do it.  I have a story line I could use, but... well, I don't know.

Kira, the last chapter we learned in math dealt with matrices. I did not enjoy them.
I know how you feel, Campion.  Most days I get homework in everyone of my classes, and each assignment usually takes a while to finish.  That's why I can't wait for this half of the school year to be done. Then I will have different classes.
Deidra, I don't mind your longer posts.  In fact, I think they are fun to read.  Everyone's posts are fun for me to read.
I'm impressed with your drawing, Kayla! They were cute, especially Oshawott?
To answer Adam's question, the longest drive I have ever been on was 11 hours.  Every summer and Christmas, my family drives down to where my grandparents live.  It usually just takes 10 hours, but one time there was a lot of traffic.
Katie, I think the quote means that it can be easy to control others and have them do something you want them to do, but it's extremely hard to control yourself and make the right decision all of the time.

In honor of Stickaid

This post will be orange. I almost stayed up for all of Stickaid. I'm actually quite sad, because I fell asleep like two hours before it was over. Stickaid was amazing though, such an improvement from last year. I can't seem to stop laughing to myself when I think back to the puns or challenges. Tomorrow will be annoying because I can't share this type of stuff with my Irl friends. I don't think they would understand watching people on YouTube, following people on Twitter, or even this blog. No one seems to get that not everything on the internet is e-mails and porn.
I too will be participating in NanoWriMo this year for the first time, so I have no tips or hints to give, sorry! Being as lazy as I am, I can't bother to check your posts to see if you had good weeks, I hope you did. Since I watched Stickaid I didn't watch Doctor Who so I would appreciate no spoilers! School has been going well for me. I really like the teachers, mostly the algebra 1 teacher. His classes are fun and I enjoy learning math, which is something I rarely say. Also his truck runs on vegetable oil. HOW AWESOME IS THAT?!
I don't have to much left to say, except how interesting it was to read your responses to my world power question. When I asked my mom she thought North Korea.[ You might be able to see why.] My next question thing is actually a quote: "Mastering others is strength. Mastering yourself is true power"-Lao Tzu. What do you think this means? I'm very sick, and I hate it. I can't remember the last time I had a cold, maybe two years ago or more. I don't miss it. Here's to another awesome week, and may the next be even better!
Bye!♥

Charlieissocruellike

So this week was pretty awesome. My homework load was lighter than usual and I got to miss half a day of school to go to a university presentation thingy in another town. Also I just got the results from my first advanced functions unit test and I got 91%, the highest in my, albeit small, class.

I'm also really looking forward to Stickaid this year. I was able to watch some, but not all of it last year. It was hilarious. I especially liked Mr. Bun (may he rest in peace). I hope to watch the whole thing this year (only 6 hours to starting!) but who knows what'll happen.

This weeks movie review is for Castle in the Sky. It's another animated movie, but this time it's from Studio Ghibli, an asian company. It's funny, cute, and corny all at once. This is definately one of my favourite movies by them, or more specifically Hayao Miyazaki. Other favourites that I recommend from Studio Ghibli: Howl's Moving Castle, The Cat Returns, My Neighbour Totoro, and Ponyo.

Since I didn't have as much homework this week I was able to draw a couple things, which made me really happy. I gave Oshawott to Deidra as a little present and kept Snivy for myself (Snivy rules!).

Adam glad to hear you're liking college. I am super jealous that you got to meet James and Oliver Phelps. And I love your Pizza John shirt, I wish I had one too.

Katie, that's kinda a tough question. I'd probably have to say that world powers are regions that have a great impact on the rest of the world depending on the things that they do within their own country and with others. For that reason I'd say Canada, China, USA, and England are all world powers. Of course, I'm probably wrong or forgetting somewhere, but that's what I can think of right now.

Kate, I love sleep as well, so I hope I'll be able to watch all of Stickaid. I can only imagine what it would be like to host the thing and have to be doing all these activities while being super tired. I did have a wake-a-thon like that in grade eight, though so I guess it wouldn't be much different than that.

Kira I also suck at remembering numbers organized in math. It can be such a pain sometimes.

Campion it sucks that you have to study so much for your upcoming exams. I have to admit, I have terrible study habits and usually just end up studying the week before the exam. I'm planning on trying to break that habit this year, however.

Deidra I still think you should have stayed in advanced functions with me so I wouldn't be the only girl in the class, but its your loss I guess =P And don't worry about how much you write, its fine.

DFTBA
