Meelo is One of My Fave Characters

I'm in a really good mood right now and there is one single reason for that. I stayed home from school today. Just because nothing important was happening and I didn't want to go, so I just stayed home. And let me tell you, that is majorly relaxing. I ended up cleaning my room a bit and suntanning since the weather was ridiculously good until about 3 o'clock (good thing I wasn't cooped up inside school or I would have missed it). I was lucky though because my mom was out of town for work today so I just asked my dad if I could stay home and he didn't have a problem with it. If my mom had been here she probably would have made me go because I didn't have any real excuse to stay home.

Since the weather has been so nice I've been getting into my spring cleaning mood again. I just finished sorting through my clothes and holy crap do I ever have a lot of clothes. It was getting pretty crazy so I decided to donate a bunch that I didn't really wear anymore.

Oh! And like Deidra mentioned we went prom dress shopping and I also got my dress. It's teal and I really like it. Only problem is it has sparkles on it so whenever I wear it or touch it or move it around to much they get EVERYWHERE. (lol I was in the middle of cleaning when I took this picture, so don't mind the piles of clothes scattered around)

I've also been rewatching some of the 10th Doctor episodes of Doctor Who recently. It's been nice since I found that I forgot some of the things that had happened. Plus David Tennant, so yeah, need I say more?

Kate I really really really really want to see The Avengers movie too. For these movies I usually find that you don't really have to know much background on the superheros to still enjoy the movie. You could always google it though if you really wanted. Or watch all the previous movies, haha. And you should definitely try making some fruit tarts! We found a really easy recipe, they're not hard to make at all and they tasted pretty great.

Kira try not to wear yourself out too much with school. Campion congrats on your nerdfighterlike. That puppet you made sounds pretty cool too, you should show us a picture if you can.

PS - Soooooo excited for prom now that I know for sure Deidra's coming. I can't even describe it so I'll let Meelo do the talking for me:

Procrastination is one of my biggest motivators.

Campion brought up a very good point in his post on wednesday. Summer break for me is probably the time of the year when I get the least amount of things done despite all the free time to do it. During the school year I'm constantly putting off doing homework to do other things, but as soon as summer comes it's like I can't think of anything I want to do besides lay around or go swimming. Maybe it's the heat, I don't know.

I did get to go strawberry picking with my family a couple days ago, though, so now we have lots of fresh berries to eat. I planted some dwarf sunflowers a while ago and they are finally starting to sprout. I'm not very good at taking care of plants (I usually end up killing them by over or underwatering them) so I hope that these will survive. I also ended up reading Zombies vs. Unicorns, Divergent, one smaller book and four volumes of manga in the past week. Z vs. U was a really good book, I like how it was a bunch of separate short stories and you should check it out if you haven't already. Also looking back I realize in my first post I said team unicorn, but I think I've converted.

Katie: I am a huge animal fan so I'm not sure I have a favourite, but I do really like polar bears (is that cliche for a Canadian?). The only time I've seen them in a zoo was a long time ago in Winnipeg and it was so hot that summer that I felt really bad for it. Zoos in general kind of make me sad.

Kira: I got into Harry Potter first through the movies when I was little. I ended up reading the fourth novel first because I was little and I wanted to read the biggest book that I could find that still looked interesting and that was it. After that I went back and reread the whole series start to finish. That was when all the books had already been released so I didn't care when the last book came out. My sister did though and when she bought it and finished reading it I immediately went and read the "19 years later" section at the end because I figured I would never read the books anyways. Oh how wrong I was.

*minor movie spoilers ahead*
As predicted I did cry lots during the movie. It was really good though, I really have no complaints except for them not actually showing Fred's death scene. My favourite part was when McGonagall called the statues to arms, I was probably as excited as her when she did that. Snape's story affected me more from the movie than when I read it in the book I have to admit and his death made me cringe and cry. Neville made me smile whenever I saw him because I was thinking about how much he'd changed, especially when he was facing the werewolves. And at the very end of the movie I couldn't help but think, "Oh my god, Harry's son has Justin Bieber hair..." It made me shake my head and sigh.

P.S. Thumbs up for Green Day, they rock!
P.P.S. Do you guys think I write too much? I feel like I write too much, but I'm not sure if I can help it...
