Kids Books and Flags

Sorry I didn't post last week, I was thinking about posting at around 3 in the afternoon, but I didn't and I wound up forgetting.

My week has been all right. I went to see Dark Knight Rises on Saturday. It was really good, though when you've read the comics, like I have, it becomes remarkably easy to predict. I own a few comics - Batman and Nightwing, mostly.

Since everyone is doing it, my thoughts on the Olympics: I watched the opening ceremony, but not any of the events yet. I honestly cannot stand watching any of the sports played during the summer Olympics for more than five minutes. Archery is okay, but all the others bore me. This is probably blasphemy to many people. I'm a bigger fan of the winter Olympics - the sports seem so much more extreme. I guess a lot of people watch, not because they are fans of the sports, but want to support their country. I'm all for supporting Canada...but during the Winter Olympics. I'll go around to school with my Canada sweatshirt. Probably not such a good idea in a school with a whole bunch of people supporting the U.S, but country pride for the win. I'll stick a flag to my backpack.

I've been staring blankly at this page for five minutes, so I'm going to get a move on. Question de la jour: Do any of you have any kids series you still follow? My list of those is embarrassingly long. I was reading books from the teen section by age eight, and adult section by eleven, so it's kind of embarrassing how many kids books I still like to read. My list includes Children of the Lamp if that gives you an idea as to just how idiotic some of the books I read are.

I think I'll wrap it up here for tonight. Enjoy your week, and don't forget to be awesome.

-Kira
