Thursday's Demon

   I must forewarn everyone, Thursday is plagued by the demons of procrastination. I battle fiercely, but it is an ongoing war.

   Anywho, bonjour! I am Deidra! Although you already know that. I am super excited to be blogging with the rest of you, and hoping to get to know you guys. I live in a really small town in northern Ontario. It gets really cold in the winter, but the summers are nice. And contrary to popular belief, I do not live in an igloo.

   I'll begin by answering Kate's question on how I became a Nerdfighter. A few years ago, my best friend started telling me about people she was watching on YouTube. She finally convinced me to take a look, and after watching my first Charlie video, I was hooked (no surprise there). I also watched a lot Vlogbrother videos, and after a few weeks I knew I was a Nerdfighter.

   It took me a while to eventually sign up on the Ning, and now it is one my favourite places on the Internet. I don't know what I would be today if I wasn't a Nerdfighter. I have discovered so many awesome things through Nerdfighteria. One of those things is Doctor Who.

   I am an avid fan of the show, even though I am only partway through the fifth season. My favourite Doctor is and always will be David Tennant. He was the best. Smith is alright, even funny and likable, but there is a special place in my heart for Tennant. One of my plans for this summer is to catch up to season six so that I can finally start to watch it on television like everyone else, instead of always watching it online.

   For Kira, my music recommendation for you is the song A Lack of Colour by Death Cab for Cutie. I have been listening to this song on repeat a lot lately. It is my favourite song at the moment. Death Cab is one of my favourite bands; others are Rise Against, Chameleon Circuit, and Greg Laswell.

   In the spirit of the introduction week, I have a few simple questions for you guys. Zombies or unicorns? Pirates or ninjas? What is your favourite colour? And when is your birthday? (Unicorns, ninjas, blue, and March 29).

   I guess that's all for now. I have my own blog if you guys feel like reading something else I procrastinate about. Have a good week, and I will advance the battlefield again next Thursday!

Wednesday- With Love From New Zealand

Hey everyone out there. My name is Campion (kind of like Champion but without the h) and I will be posting on Wednesdays.

I'm really excited to be working on this project, awesome to know that we have nerdfighters from around the world working on this. I myself come from a small city called Hamilton which resides on the islands of New Zealand.

I've been watching the Vlog Brothers since about half-way through last year but I only became a nerdfighter a few months ago. Fortunately we have a pretty active and fairly close nerdfighter community here in New Zealand so I always know that there is always a group of people that I can be myself around

I am a filmmaker myself, I often make films with my friends and I have an active vlogging channel on YouTube. I am a huge gamer, I love to play games like Starcraft, Half-life and Minecraft. I also have an unhealthy addiction to YouTube (much to the irration of my peers) and I hope to one attend Vidcon even though it's quite literally on the other side of the freaking planet

I also have an obsession with unicorns. I have a deep and burning hatred for unicorns (we have plenty of them over here in New Zealand) I have seen many good men fall prey to these foul beasts of hell. Maybe I'll write about mine and my friends exploits after one of the great unicorn hunts that I often participate in.

So I'm running out of crap to write so I'm gonna stop before I start writing nonsensical twaddle.

Blog Post, Take Two

Hello to all readers. I'm Kira and I'm going to be posting on Tuesdays.

Kate had expressed enthusiasm about this project, and I think it's pretty safe to say that she speaks for us all. I can say for sure that I am really excited. I look forward to getting to know my fellow bloggers over the course of this collaboration.

The nerd fighter community really is a wonderful place. I am a newcomer, but I feel incredibly welcome. It's a place where I can express all of my nerdy opinions.

I am very fond of reading, so for some posts, you might just read about me going off on a spontaneous book review. I love Harry Potter, and I loathe Twilight, so if you feel differently, don't take some of the remarks I may make personally.

I really love music. What are some of your favorite bands? My weekly music recommendation is the band U2. They're an Irish band that I adore.

I have a very short attention span, so be prepared for random outbursts. Also, I never know what to say about anything. On that note, I'll go!

Hey nerdfighters!

So this is the first week of A Week of Awesome and these are our seven bloggers:

I'm excited for this blog.  It'll be fun to get to know all of you.  I also think it will be fun to say that I have friends in different countries.  I've only been a Nerdfighter for a few months, but I'm totally committed to the community.  

To start, I guess I will tell you a little summary on how I became a nerdfighter.   

In February, one of my friends told me to go check out this video called Bird Secks by RWJ. I did and I found it really funny. I created my youtube account and subscribed.  For about 2 weeks, he was the only one I was subscribed to. 

One magical day, I was bored... shocker. I was on youtube searching for Europeans trying to do American Accents... *slightly embarrassed*
And yep, you guessed it. I found Charlieissocoollike.  I subscribed.  From Charlie, I found pretty much a ton other youtubers. 

I did subscribe to the vlogbrothers because Charlie talked about them a lot, and so did Alex (nerimon), but it wasn't until March when a fellow nerdfighter suggested I go back and watch all of their videos. I eventually did finish all 800+ of them in May.

As a nerd, I like things. I'm pretty easily amused too.  I'm even amused by how easily amused I am.  

Things I like: the Beatles, internet, music, books, 

Things I like to do: draw, write poems and stories, take pictures

I guess that's a good blog for a introduction blog, right?  I guess I'll ask a question for you all.  How did you become a Nerdfighter?
