I still have not gotten the grade on my research paper, so that's still giving me a bit of anxiety. This is the first time that my school district has ended the first term before Christmas break. Last year we had a week and a half for break; this year we have two weeks and a half. That's nice.
I got a few awesome gifts for Christmas, including a Harry Potter music book, Doctor Who hoody, the Avengers DVD, and some blue High Top Chuck Taylors. I also got the new special of Doctor Who. And, yeah, I would at least like an explanation of what happened to the inside of the TARDIS (please and thank you, Moffat).
I absolutely love Chuck Taylors. I have black, purple, and blue pairs, and my get a different color from my boyfriend. If I hadn't just dropped my Ipod Touch, giving the screen cracks for a second time, I would go out and buy myself a pair with my Christmas money, but instead I plan on replacing the Ipod.
As for New Year's Resolutions - I want to actually spend more time on my homework, stop procrastinating, and jog more on my own. I also want to go see the Hobbit. I can't believe I haven't yet.
Next term/semester will be great. I'll have 3/4 of my classes with my best friend - that's including lunch. Physics, Spanish 4, and World history will all be easy enough, I hope. Orchestra will be the same as ever, with the added bonus of having to practice and practice for my solo at Districts Music Contest. I should be getting the musical for the musical we are doing this year, Brigadoon. It will be another fun year in the pit for me.

28 Days Until Sadness
Two months have already been used up of my summer vacation, and only 27 days of summer are left, the 28th day being the first day of school. I have even less days of summer left if you take into account the two-a-days of volleyball practice and tryouts.
Kira, I really loved your photos, especially the one in Rome, and I could not help but think how good of jigsaw puzzles they would make.
I liked your post, Campion, and you should do more top 5's. It's a cool way to find things we mutually like. Unfortunately I have not seen any of the movies on your list, but Back to the Future and Jurassic Park are two I want to see. My favorite films are Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part Two, The Amazing Spiderman, and Pirates of the Caribbean: the Curse of the Black Pearl.
I've broken my hard drive before, Kayla. I think I actually posted about it. I had been cleaning my room and was moving my mattress around when my old laptop was hit off my TV stand. It fell about 3 feet and when I tried to turn it on, a blue screen appeared with a weird clicking sound. Luckily my dad had an identical laptop that he didn't use much, so he replaced my hard drive with his. But I remember losing everything I had on there. Hopefully you come by some luck and everything gets better.
Don't get me wrong, Deidra, there are some themes that I have fallen in love with in certain books. There are quite a few in Harry Potter, like the idea that love can make it through the toughest of times and the losses and struggles of war.
Katie, summer actually makes me feel like school wasn't that long ago. I feel like I've only been out for a month instead of two.
This post is going to be stopped here due to tiredness.

451 Degrees Fahrenheit in the Midwest
Lately I've been feeling exhausted and I have no idea why. It might be the weather seeing as it's been extremely hot out and now it's cooled down a bit. I've heard weather can affect health, especially with a 20 degree (Fahrenheit) drop in temperature and a noticeable drop in humidity. Friday it was up to 110 degrees F (43 degrees C).
Friday also happened to be the day a friend and I went to the zoo. Apparently the Henry Doorly Zoo is one of the best in the nation. It is pretty cool. They recently changed and added to the Aquarium and added a few animals in other places. I personally loved the new otters in the Jungle. Unfortunately we forgot to check out the new Madagascar exhibit, but there's always next time.
If you're ever in the States for some random reason and you're in the Midwestern area, I recommend checking the zoo out.
Here are some pictures I've take from Friday's visit and two past visits.
I will not be doing the Fahrenheit 451 book reading. The book was assigned to our English class to be read over a three day weekend. You know how John Green says "books belong to their readers?" I like that, and that's probably why I don't like reading for English classes - usually. I know I've mentioned it on Tumblr, but I'm not sure if I did here. My English teacher forced us to find as many symbols as we could, and it was pretty awful and ruined the reading experience for me.
Okay, I'm getting really hungry so I'm going to go have lunch.

Kate Likes Adam's Ideas, So She Steals It
This blog is a year old and that's awesome.
Deidra, I totally agree with you. I'm glad I passed, but I just feel so inexperienced. Luckily I still have to wait about 5 months before I'm allowed to get my real license. My state requires us to have our permit 6 months before getting to drive on our own. I just want as much practice as I can get because, even though I passed, I feel unsafe on roads with other people.
I loved Will Grayson (x2), especially the ending. I thought it was sweet and lovely. When it comes to marking in books, I'm not against it. When a quote is special, I like to outline it; that way it's easy to find but isn't too distracting.
Katie, I always use the shift key unless I'm using ALL CAPS or something like P.O. Box which would make me lift off the shift key while I type the "." in between the capitals.
This is the stealing Adam's idea part.
Dear Kate,
I bet you're surprised to hear you survived a whole year without losing your sanity. Of course, it's the summer and you don't know what lies ahead for your sophomore year. Let's just say you cry the first two nights of the school year. Can't even imagine what being that stressed out is like? You also cried in Algebra 2 a few times because English stressed you out. Don't worry, you weren't the only one crying because of English.
But the important thing to focus is on is the fact that you learned so much and grew so much as a person. You'll become more experienced as the year progresses. Friends were lost, but closer friends were gained. Family issues come and go, and your brother still can't decide what he wants to do with his life.
You really don't have to worry about any big changes. I know you want to improve yourself when it comes to things like pole-vaulting, playing instruments, and becoming less shy and whatnot, and I don't want to ruin the surprises that lay ahead, but everything has gone very well for you. You'll be proud off course with a number of new friends who live in various places around the globe.
Congratulations, Kate, for taking the first steps in a marvelous journey. You'll never forget this year.
DFTBA, Kate, DFTBA
PS: You passed your driving test on the first time, so don't work yourself up too much about it.
Anyways.... A WHOLE YEAR GUYS.
Let's double the awesome and go for two.
Happy Anniversary, Happy Canada Day, and Happy 4th

A New Experience
Friday morning I walked to school with my friend. As we walked my arms became more and more itchy. I assumed it was due to the cold weather and dry skin, but when I got to my locker in school, I realized I had a dosens of what looked like bug bites on my arms surrounded by redness. My friend told me I need to go to the nurse. With permission from my father, the nurse gave me a Benadryl. I was told that it was probably an allergic reaction which is a thing that never happened to me before. It took about and hour for the bumps and redness to leave my skin.
I've been reading the Hunger Games trilogy, and yesterday my dad bought me the third book. I took it to class and, stupidly, left it there under my desk. I managed to go back to the room during the next passing period to look for it, but it was gone and my teacher said he hadn't seen it. I assume it was stolen since it is a popular book, but I'd hate to think the worst.
Tomorrow is my first track meet of the season. When we were practicing today, I was able to vault over a 7 foot bar, which is better than I ever did last year. This little bit of improvement is very encouraging for me. I just hope I can keep it up for tomorrow.
Thanks to Kira's description of a beaver tail, I want to try one now, but I thought they did look a bit weird when I looked them up on Google.
Campion, I thought the US was the only country that spelled "color" they way we do. We have a lot of spelling differences in the US though.
Deidra, I though part 1 of your post was adorable. I'm glad you had a great birthday, and congrats on being accepted to a university!
I, too, LOVE Avatar: The Last Airbender. The sad thing is that I never enjoyed it until it wasn't airing anymore. My favorite two characters were Sokka and Zuko. I've seen the first episode of Korra, but I haven't had a lot of time to sit back and enjoy the other ones. And, Kayla, I have never heard of Pizza Cones in my life.
Katie, I pretty much agree with everything you said about Lady Godiva. I did enjoy the song enough to buy it and a few of the remixes. I had to write an essay on Catcher about what Holden's red hunting cap symbolized. That was one of the more painful in-class essays I had to do.
We had a game like the one you described that we played a lot in elementary school. It was called Doctor Spy. The doctor would go around to those players sitting on the ground and pull them back behind a certain line. The spy could cross the line in the middle of the gym and get people out that way. We did happen to play it once this year in my Personal Fitness class and, yes, I did enjoy being "the doctor." My whovian friend and I laughed at that.
I'm still confused a bit about this new layout too, Adam. Earlier today a friend told me she wanted to learn how to speak in a Irish accent. She's pretty good already but she kept saying how (apparently) "orange" is said funny in the Irish accent. I don't know where I'm going with this, but I had thought of you when she was rambling.
That's all for today.

Really Excited
Besides for the fact that it's been a long day and I'm a bit tired, I am, as the title suggests, really excited. There are ten... TEN days until my high school's musical! And even though I'm just playing in the pit, I nervous. Next week will be extremely busy. Starting Sunday, we have our weekly 3 hour rehearsal. Then on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, I have to leave track early so I can shower in the locker rooms and make it to the final rehearsals. Tuesday is actually parent's night so that will be our first, full, dress rehearsal thing. Thursday and Friday are the school's quarter finals day, so those will be half days. Thursday, Friday, and Saturday are the real performances and I am just really, really excited.
The musical we are doing is "State Fair." I don't think it's a very well known musical. I enjoy the music and it's a fun story with plenty of funny moments. My favorite number is "More than Just a Friend."
I'll hate for the musical to be over with. I do love our Sunday rehearsals. They are usually filled with laughs and the music is just really fun to play.
I'm actually in the process of writing a song with my ukulele about the the 6th episode of Sherlock. I don't know if I'll post it anywhere considering I'm not a huge fan of my own voice, but I'm actually proud of how far it's come.
Kayla, I don't think I have a part of a person I notice first. I mostly just notice the entire structure of their face, like their cheekbones, eyes and mouth collectively, and then their expression.
Adam, I don't really think I use many expressions. The only things I say often are connected to internet memes which are internationally known.
I guess I'll finish up here and wish you guys all an awesome week.

The Weather Loves Proving Me Wrong
Last week I talked about how it had rained and spring was coming. It snowed again. On Wednesday, my town woke up to about 2 inches of snow. Thursday it melted, but once again on Friday, we woke up to another 2 inches of snow. It was sunny through out most of the day Friday, but around 2:30 it suddenly started snowing, and snowing hard. Even though the snowfall didn't last long, about 4 inches of snow fell in about 30 minutes.
It only took about 20 minutes after the snowfall for the snow to already be melting off the trees and the streets to be completely clear of snow.
The region I live in seems to have mood swings all the time. One minute will be sunny, the next will be thunder-storming with a possibility of a tornado.
I hope your mom's operation went well, Kira. I love freerice but I never have enough patience to keep going.
Campion, I feel jealous because of all the rain you have. I understand how having rain fall seemingly all the time would make it undesirable, I just think it's nice.
In answer to your question Deidra, I would absolutely love to have wings. I've had so many dreams in which I have angel wings and get to fly around. The next thing I would choose is to have gills. It'd be cool to be able to breathe in water.
I've never heard of the show the Walking Dead, Kayla. I was wondering why you'd like to have a turtle shell. What aspects of having a shell appeal to you most?
Katie, when it comes to reading, I don't really have any tips for not getting distracted. When I was in 5th grade, which is when I first got into reading, I would read the Harry Potter books while the TV was playing them. I always managed to get really into the book and look randomly look up at the TV to find that the movie seemingly jump forward in the plot line. I tend to be able to stay focused if the book I'm reading is very good. The only time I sometimes can't focus on what I'm reading is when I'm in a quite room, like if I'm in my room and there's no sound and all I'm doing is reading.
I hope you do well in your classes, especially Calculus, Adam. I find Rugby and interesting sport though I don't watch much of it. I don't really watch much of any sport, but if I did, Rugby would definitely be one I watch a lot of. I have to admit most of my knowledge about the game of Rugby comes from the movie Forever Strong (which I recommend watching by the way).
So today was our first track and field practice. It went all right. We mostly ran around the track and went off the routines and such. The only disappointing thing is that we have a morning practice at 6:30 because the school called a half day due to our girls' basketball team making State (which hasn't happened in 25ish years).

The 20th of February, 2012.
The finale to the second series of Sherlock was... everything I imagined it to be. It was intense, sad, funny, and pretty much everything else. I cried like I did with Tfios. I would definitely recommend Sherlock to anyone.
Today was the first rainfall of the year. Unless the weather continues being weird, I imagine my town won't be getting anymore snow. This is good because of many reasons. 1) I always loved listening to the rain. 2) This means Spring is coming, and it's only been recently, in the past few years, that I really started to enjoy Spring a lot more. 3) Hopefully there won't be anymore snow because Track and Field season is starting next monday. I'm very excited for that!
Sometimes my brain goes off on these random thought trains and I end up with a ton of random questions. Example: Have you ever thought about how weird humans look? Compared many other animals, we do look strange. Of course these all thoughts I've had. I've also thought about technology, things like televisions, computers, etc, and how they work and sometimes it just blow my mind. I don't think it's something that should fascinate me as much as it does... but it's just really cool to think about.

Snowdays Are My Favorites
I think our school district was close to calling a snowday today, but we weren't lucky enough. Now everyone is thinking that Wednesday might be our last chance for a big snowstorm. This year may be the first in decades to not receive a snowday.
On Sherlock, I have the last episode left to watch. And because people on the internet aren't very good at keeping secrets, I know what happens at the end. I'm not really upset that I know, I actually think it'll make me anticipate/like the episode more. I'm going through the same phase I did when I started watching Doctor Who....
Deidra, congrats on getting a signed copy of Tfios. It's cool (and lucky) that you got the last one!
The point Adam made led me to think about different kind of accents. I know Canadian and American accents tend to sound the same, but yet different regions tend to have different dialects. So even though we live nearer each other, we may still have little differences in the way we talk. ...And I guess that thought interests me. I've always found the topics of languages fascinating.
Kate
(I may hopefully have time to watch the final episode of Sherlock tonight)

Well...
I've been lazy and tired the past few days due to some kind of illness. Friday night I had gotten light-headed and nauseated. ...That's not really an excuse for not knowing what to write about, is it? I'm not sure what caused my feeling sick. It could have been the extreme change in weather, allergies, or maybe stress.
Speaking of the weather... we finally got snow Saturday. You know how the Vlogbrothers wouldn't be touring in the Midwest due to the bad weather-ice and snow? Yeah, well... while the touring was going on, we were having amazing weather. It was like spring. A beautiful 55 degrees F and sunny skies with no snow. But, of course, the day after the tour ends, we get this huge snowstorm that gave us a good 8 inches(at least) of snow. I thought that was a funny coincidence.
I, too, have also gotten into the tv show Sherlock. Though it stinks because I can't watch season 2 yet. It is supposed premier in May here I believe.
That's all I can think to write for now, and I need to go practice for my school's musical.

The First Monday of The School Year...
...was not enjoyed... or at least not the waking up part. In eighth grade I use to love waking up and going to school. It's now two years later and I hate it. The rest of the day wasn't that bad though.
The book I am currently reading is Maureen Johnson's The Name of the Star. I'm only about half way through it but it is already amazing. I don't expect that this book is going to be the type to make me cry. I'll probably have a review of the book next Monday. No spoilers will be in the review in case the book is one you are thinking about reading.
Kira, I quoted you on Facebook ("I don't like the thought of laws existing because of one religion imposing beliefs on the whole country. ") and many people liked it. I felt as if you put the things I've been believing for so long into the perfect sentence. Finding the right words is something I can be horrible at.
There have been many times when I've thought about immortality, Deidra. I've come to the conclusion that it would be nice to live as long as one would like to live. I know if I had a choice between immortality and mortality, I would definitely choose mortality. I know I wouldn't want to live forever. I think eventually everyone would get bored of life and they would wish they could die. I would love to have the chance to live maybe a few more hundred years just so I could do more things, visit more place, etc, but I know I only have 100 years, if I'm lucky enough to live that long, so I don't spend to much time thinking about it. Like you I would also like to know what the world becomes in the future, how far science has advanced, how the human race has changed.
Great job with your exams, Adam! You did an awesome job.
As always, I hope you all have a great week and DFTBA.

As always, I hope you all have a great week and DFTBA.

Another Monday of No School
That's about the 4th in a row if you count Christmas break.
I spent Friday night reading the last 150 pages of the Fault in Our Stars. I'm not going to post any spoilers, but WOW. It's definitely may favorite stand-alone book. I laughed, I cried (I cried even more when connecting things from the book to my life), it was amazing. I definitely recommend you read it if you haven't yet. I know I've already interested my non-nerdfighter friend.
My first week of classes went well. I already like all of my teachers. Hopefully I don't think I will have a lot of homework, at least not compared to last semester. Most of the time that had been spent doing homework last semester will go to practicing my violin this semester.
I don't know if I've said, but the band/orchestra conducted recommended me to the teacher in charge of our school's annual musical, so I will be in the orchestra pit playing the music. We had our first rehearsal yesterday. There weren't as many people there as I expected. I did better than I thought I would, but there's still a long way to go.
I've always liked the idea of a bucket list, but I've never really made one. I think would feel pressure to do everything on the list. But I do have a bunch of things I would love to do/accomplish such as meeting youtubers/inspirational people, publish a novel, and be a fun teacher.
On the subject of same-sex marriage, it's my belief that the marriages should be legal or at least recognized. The topic of homosexuality and same-sex marriages is probably the one topic I get really pushy (that's not quite the right word, but I can't think of the right word) about, especially when talking about the United States. We are supposed to be a free country, but people are hypocrites so it's really isn't free.
I hope all of you have a great week.

End of the Semester
Friday was the last day of the first semester. Half of the school year is already over. Finals were Thursday and Friday. I improved from last quarter and I am proud that I passed my Honors English class with an A.
Tomorrow everyone will have new classes. The class I will be in should be pretty easy except for Chemistry, but with the teacher I am going to have it shouldn't be that bad. Plus, I'll have extra time to do homework around lunch.
Kira, I have mentioned being in my school's orchestra before, but I'm not sure that I specified the violin. Your question is an interesting one. The topic is one that I have thought about quite a lot. I'm indecisive about it. Sometimes I do think fate exists, sometimes I think our actions make the future into what it may become.
I hope this year will be a better year for you Campion
Deidra, hen it comes to Ron, I have no doubt that he deserved his place in Gryffindor. Even though he fought with Harry many times during the series, he always came back around and took Harry's side.
Adam, I'm glad we finally got your youtube channel name. *subscribed*
Kayla, I loved the points you made about Ron being a Gryffindor, especially the fifth.
Congratulations on your grades Katie! I read through that article and it made me realize how much I love the way things are now. I love the idea of time travel and the other things like that, but only in a fictional sense. I think the idea and possibilities they talk in the article are unnecessary and maybe dangerous.
I would love to be able to travel time with the Doctor, but I know that the show is fictional. If scientist were ever able to figure out the secrets to time travel, it would be dangerous to allow anyone to go into the past. One minor thing could cause a huge change through time or a paradox. Like the idea of the Evil Baby Orphanage, if we took Baby Hitler and put him in the EBO, then the Holocaust wouldn't have happened and no one would think to go back and put Baby Hitler in the orphanage. It's all timey-whimey.
Well... that's all for this post,
Kate

I am horrible.
Christmas break is here and it is nice. Wednesday afternoon we left to drive down to Oklahoma. It was a 10 hour drive but I slept most of the way.
Christmas was okay. I liked the gifts (I got my Letterman jacket!) but there was quite a bit of family drama, and that kinda ruined the whole thing.
I have been procrastinating... that is why I am horrible. I've memorized a bit more than half of my speech, and then I let it slide for the past few days. I still have to edit my research paper also. I did have math homework, too.
Considering I'm always down south in Oklahoma for Christmas, I rarely see snow. There are a few times when it snows, though. Two days ago snow was in the forecast in Oklahoma even though there is no snow back home in Nebraska.
There is another reason why I am horrible. I downloaded World of Warcraft on to my laptop and have started playing it again. I started playing the game when I was 10 because my brother wanted someone else to be able to back him up when saying that it wasn't a bad game. Little did he know that soon we would have to take turns and share the computer.
Once my brother moved out he got a new account and I had to stop playing (around age 13) because I couldn't really pay for time. About two times a year I start playing it now. Christmas (when I get money) and Summer (when school ends).
I've got to go now. My dad doesn't approve of me staying on my laptop. He wants me to socialize even though I am an extremely introverted person.
Kate
PS I have not yet caught up on Doctor Who. I still have to watch the Wedding of River Song and then the Christmas Special!

I Got My Shirt!
In English we have to memorize a speech from Julius Caesar, and the speech I have to recite it the one in which Cassias says "The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars, but in ourselves." I was lucky enough to get first pick, and I wanted that quote because the quote is what inspired the title of Tfios. We have to recite them the day we get back from holiday break (Jan 4) and I already have 11/25ish lines down. If we recite the speech perfectly we get 150/100 points. That's 50 points extra credit which would definitely help me get that A!
Right after school on Wednesday, my dad, my brother, and I will be on our way to Oklahoma to visit my grandparents for Christmas. We do this every year and it's always the same 10 hour drive there and 10 hour drive back. At least I'm usually asleep through half of it.
I didn't do my P4A video. I lacked the time and because I was over at my mom's, I also lacked the proper lighting. I didn't stay up to watch the whole live show. Stickaid drained me too much, and I didn't really want to have to deal with that.
Usually I consider just think of myself as American. I definitely think about being an American more than I think about being a Nebraskan at least. Kansas, Nebraska, and Iowa (of what I have seen of them) all seem to have the same terrain and accent so I wouldn't consider calling myself a Nebraskan would be too distinguishing of where I grew up. From my point of view it's pretty much the same... yeah.
So, yeah... I can't wait for winter break to begin. I won't really feel like break until I wake up Thursday morning at my grandparents house. Not having to wake up early makes me happy. Though I know I will be paranoid and worried about my cats because they obviously have to stay here. My mom will be watching over them.
I hope you all have a great week!

Things and More Things
Ugh... it's late. I had my best friend over and we were helping each other with our research papers. I finished mine and will be turning it in tomorrow (early) for extra credit.
I will be trying to make a project for awesome video, but I also lack subscribers of any kind. Plus I will probably be very busy this week. My brother is coming home from the army's basic training. He will be graduation on Thursday and will be home sometime Friday. I'm actually excited to see him, which is something I didn't expect.
I find that when I am tired, I don't have much to say... next week I will definitely have more to tell (probably).

I Just Wanted a Shirt....
I have been very disappointed this week. I had ordered that Nerdfighter Community t-shirt and a DFTBA wristband on Nov 7, and I have yet to receive it. I checked the tracking code and it said that it was delivered to the post office on Nov 10, but it has yet to be delivered. My mom had sent out a few emails hoping to track the package down, but UPS sent back an email yesterday saying "Your package is on time for a delivery date of Nov 13." Now... I'm pretty good at math and all, and I'm absolutely positive that it has been over twenty days since that date and I have yet to receive this shirt that was meant to be a birthday present.
This whole ordeal has bummed me out big time.
I did finish NaNoWriMo, much to my surprise. Like I have said, at the beginning of the month I had no faith in myself.
For my Algebra 2 class, we have the opportunity to create some kind of a creative project in order to replace a low test grade with the optional project's grade. We had the same project last year in my Geometry class. My Geometry teacher, Mrs. Wagner, is married to my Algebra teacher, and I'm 90% sure that she (my Geometry teacher) shared all of our projects with Mr. Wagner. Well, Mr Wagner had even said that we had very good projects last year.
The project I am doing this year is a continuation of last year's project. For my geometry class, I had written a short children's story titled "The Adventures of Paul E. Ghon and His Composite Figure Friends." This year's project is titled "Paul E. Ghon 2: Polly No'meal Saves the Day."
And trust me.... there are plenty of other puns that fill this story.
Deidra, your cat is so pretty. I'm always so happy to get home at the end of the day because my cats jump up to the window and greet me before I am even in the house.
I've always been into pokemon, though not so much the newest stuff. I love all of the games and all of the new pokemon, but the show just does not really appeal to me. I guess I just loved the original characters too much. Recently I have been getting into drawing pokemon and playing the games more though!
I thought that the fanfiction was really good, Adam! I encourage you to keep it up.
I'm really tired and I'll be going to bed early tonight.

*Title*
For some reason I wasn't sure how to start this post... so here's a picture of two cats cuddling in case you are into that kind of thing.
Thanksgiving was a lot of fun for me. My mom and I went to my Aunt and Uncle's house where most of my mom's side of the family go for Thanksgiving. We had a delicious meal and my uncle let me ride the four-wheeler for the first time!
I'm tired and don't really have anything else to say this week. I hope all of you are doing well!

Just 5000 more words left to write for NaNo!

Caught up and STUFF
So.... the US congress isn't doing it's job to the best of their abilities. They pretty much have said the tomato paste inside of pizza sauce will count as a vegetable in school lunches even thought tomatoes are fruits. Plus they have proposed a bill that will censor the internet. Luckily there are so many people from the public who oppose that bill.
I believe I read somewhere that congress's approval rating is 9%. My question is who are these 9%?
Yesterday I caught up to where I needed to be for NaNo. I still haven't written any for today, so I will have to work on that soon.
Last week I forgot to tell you that I found another Nerdfighter in my town!
I was wearing my Sons of Admirals t-shirt, and this girl from my math class (who I have kind of known for about a year) comes up to me after class and says, "When I saw you wearing that shirt, my heart beat a thousand times faster. I love them!"
I was completely thrown off guard and only say "...Really?!" before the bell rang to signal the end of school. I went home and checked to see if I was friends with her on Facebook. I wasn't so I did a little bit of non-creepy facebook stalking. Even though we weren't friends, I could see that under her favorite teams was the Swindon Town Swoodilypoopers, and under her favorite music were Charlie Mcdonnell, Alex Day, and Still Got Legs. Plus she was making the Nerdfighter gang sign in a few of her pictures. I got really excited. So know I know we have at least four, including me, nerfighters in my town.
Last thing, in PE we had to write what they called a "Life Saving Letter" to anyone. We pretty much had to tell someone why it was important to be healthy, what risk factors can affect them, how he/she can set goals to accomplish personal fitness, and why we care about them. I wrote to past John Green about his little weight issue. My nerdfighter friend wrote to Hank pretty much saying "I know you really love them, but you got to lay off the corndogs. They are fattening and unhealthy." It was a fun joke and our teacher will probably be confused by the irrelevance of our inside jokes.
"Cool story, bro."

Homework and NaNo = My life right now.
I fell behind on my word count for NaNo yesterday, it is now lacking 800 words plus what I have to write today.I hopefully will start writing 2000 a day so I stay ahead. Right now I have about 9200 words, but I have yet to type up what I had written during study time at school. This week is very busy for me so I know my word count will suffer even more, I just have to keep writing and do my best.
Tomorrow is the band/orchestra concert. I play in the orchestra and I'm kind of nervous even though I know I shouldn't be. Thursday is my 16th birthday as well as Academic Achievement Awards night. If you had a gpa of 3.7 or higher you receive this award. After the ceremony, everyone goes to the gym to get snacks and talk. The orchestra provides background music so I will also be playing then.
Finally, Friday I am going to a Trans-Siberian Orchestra concert. They are great; I really recommend you look up their First Snow song. Preferably on youtube so you can see footage of the concert. I get to take my best friend along to the concert, and she is going to be spending the night for my birthday.
So you can see how my word count will fall behind. Good luck to those who are doing NaNoWriMo.
Well, I've got to get to work. Homework and then NaNo.
Fun.
