Summer just keeps ticking away, and I am getting more and more bored. Seriously, I need something to do, something productive, something that I won't put off for another day. I've been doing that all week. I wanted to do some more painting, but kept telling myself I'd do it the next day. Here we are, Thursday once again, and I haven't started anything.
On the pre-school front, I finally ordered all of my textbooks, and will be picking them up tomorrow. Why are things so expensive? I mean really, something needs to be done about this.
Welcome back Katie! I'm so glad you had fun on your trip and visited so many places. Sorry to hear that the driving was a drag. I usually sleep on trips, so I'm not bothered by siblings or boredom. That or reading.
Adam, what is a J1? As for cities, I haven't really been anywhere in the US, but New York sounds like a lot fun. I've heard Chicago is a decent place as well.
Anyway, that's about all I've got. I just want school to start so that I can have things to do and things to talk about. Don't forget to be awesome!

Rambling
Hey, everyone.
My week has been tiring. I've had a lot of homework, and French has to be the most annoying subject in the world. Whenever I wonder why I take it, though, I remember that I don't have a choice. It's not even the language that I don't like - I actually love the language. I just really hate the class. I don't think there is ever a situation where you need to use all the tenses over the course of three minutes. Except for class.
On a brighter note, I have introduced Canadian food to several American friends. They didn't believe there was a such thing. Then I made them butter tarts and vegetarian tourtiere. For those of you that don't know, tourtiere is a kind of meat pie. Except I replaced the meat with soy. They enjoyed the food, which was good.
Deidra - I love A Very Potter Musical. And the sequel. And I'll probably love A Very Potter Senior Year.
Kayla, I hope you're enjoying university, and I hope your sleeping conditions are more comfortable now.
Katie, your road trip sounded awesome. You went far beyond my breaking point when it comes to heat. Kudos to you.
Adam, I'd say you should visit Boston. It's one of my favourite places in the country. Also, this is a Coffee Crisp.
And this is a bag of ketchup chips.
They both sound really strange, but they're both really good.

Know What's Fun? Not Homework
I finally finished reading Huck Finn and they ending annoyed me. The character of Tom Sawyer was just really unlikable.
I'm amazed Nebraska made the list of your favorite states. There's a reason we're the Nebraska Cornhuskers. I've never been to the middle or western part of the state and Alliance is about 6 or 7 hours away I think, so I've yet to see Carhenge. And you did go to the Omaha Zoo? You must tell me what you thought of it.
Adam, Kansas City, Missouri has an awesome theme park called Worlds of Fun. They have themed roller coasters and rides for different countries and cultures. It's a bit expensive, but worth it. They also have Oceans of Fun next to it which is a huge water park.
Allergies have been getting bad here. A few of my friends and I all have runny noses, and I keep wanting to sneeze but can't.
Today was the start of the third week of school but it seems like summer never existed. It's almost sad how fast everyone fell back into the same routine.
It's getting close to nine o'clock here and I've got to go downstairs and watch the new episode of Grimm.

I post here sometimes.
Back to college in two weeks and I cannot wait any longer, I'm really psyched to get back and into the routine. I absolutely loved my first year of college and the long summer has been torture. College is just so much more exciting and interesting. Last Friday morning I had to register for my modules for next year. I'm not that keen on my modules in semester one compared to semester two. I have almost all of my math modules in the first and all my physics in the second.
My friends and I have decided that we want to go on a J1 to America for next summer. Any recommendations for cities to go to? I think my friends are set on going to NewYork.
Katie, your roadtrip sounded pretty cool, I had to use google to find out what 115 fahrenheit is in celsius. It's ridiculously hot, I think my melting point is 32 celsius (89 fahrebheit). Kayla, I hope you're enjoying your first taste of college, I'm sure it'll get awesome once you have a bed. :)
I hate to have to ask but what are coffee crisps and ketchup chips? I've never heard of them before but then again we call things differently over here.
I don't have much else to say, the football season kicked off here recently so my dad and I are pretty psyched. I'm also looking forward to the vlogbrothers 1000th video, I hope they do something big for it.

Oh! Hey!
Let me just start off by saying that I am not a very adventurous person, physically. Mentally I'm in a different dimension. So getting out of little Rhody was huge. I've traveled to New York and other surrounding states in New England and along the Eastern coast, but never really across to California and back into the mid-west. What an experience, I must say. I went to so many places and in, around and across 27 different states in four weeks. I've been to the boarder of Canada and Mexico and I would do it all again. Just not with the same people.
Never road trip with family. I swear avoid it with all your might. I love my sister and brother, but they don't like each other very much, and now it's worse. It's like freaking world war III around them. Before it was okay, they didn't get to each other that much, but no just the slightest hair out of place sends them to the battle field. They annoy the piss out of me. And don't get me started with my dad. Glad my parents are divorced so I get some peace. He's insufferable. All should be back to normal and fizz out in the next year.
Before I left I had the wonderful idea of sending postcards. And now I'm stuck writing forty, fifty cards. I've solved how to send them though. The people I see everyday, I'll just hand them the postcards and say "I missed you!" which is something they should expect from me. But being home is wonderfully glorious, even though I haven't gone outside since returning on Thursday. It's like I got drunk for so long I'm suffering from a giant hangover.
My favorite states had to be Utah, Montana, South Dakota, Arizona, and Nebraska. Utah was overall just a really nice day weather wise, and for me in general. Montana had this tourist trap of a shop. They made internet meme shirts! I almost bought a challenge accepted shirt, but settled for a shirt that says FREE HUGS that I now sport as pajamas. South Dakota was just beautiful, I really loved Mount Rushmore. Arizona is where my physics and chemistry teachers are from, and I loved all the scenery there. Nebraska was awesome. Not only because Kate lives there, but all the CORN! And the state forrest that took five minutes to drive through, the awesome diner in Alliance, my bus driver grew up there, the zoo was spectacular, and...CARHENDGE! Carhendge is like Stonehenge, but with cars. It was beyond awesome, and I left a Nerdfighter note there.
The worst of states you say? Indiana is literally hell on earth. It was around 90 degrees Fahrenheit, which was the hottest state we had visited yet and the mosquitos were on steroids or something. They were the size of dimes or a well-sized buttons, and extremely vicious. Then came Missouri. Really Missouri was awful. We broke down the second time we went through. Then the 105 degree Fahrenheit weather in Oklahoma. I thought the worst of all was Texas, with it's 110-115 weather, but no. Nevada was 120 degrees Fahrenheit, only seven degrees cooler than freaking DEATH VALLEY. I can still feel my sweat soaked clothes. And even though those were the hottest states we went through, and my experiences were on the boarder of awful, I still have the most resentment for Tennessee. Stuck for four days because when the car was "fixed" in Missouri, it broke down at 10:00 at night on the side of a freeway, and had to get towed to Nashville four hours away in the back of a cramped tow truck with Larry the cable guy as the driver. It was torture because we were so close to North Carolina, where my dad lives, and we had a twelve hour drive to Rhode Island from North Carolina.
Leaving that aside though, it was a good trip. We had two theme songs. The main being Total Eclipse of the Heart because that's all my brother would sing, and Gaston from Beauty and the Beast. Once we hit places like Montana and Tennessee, they literally used antlers in all of their decorating. But enough of that, you guys! I missed you! Campion happy belated birthdays, even though I think it was you who didn't enjoy your birthday. I'm saying it anyway. Deidra and Kayla you're going to University! Kate, Kira you're all in school! Adam I passed a comic shop in Indiana that was called "Comic Books and Things" which just made me laugh. And you liking and getting into comics makes me wish I had stopped there. I missed all of the Olympics, but I heard it was good. I'm not too concerned though.
I have ten days until school starts and six days to finish three books. Two I'm almost done with, but I haven't started the mandatory chemistry text yet. I'm taking the honor course which means I have to read that or I'll be starting the year off on the wrong side of a good teacher. now I'm stressed. And I'm taking Spanish 3 and I suck at learning languages. I have a habit of stressing myself out way too easily. So I'm going to try and finish those two books and start the chemistry one. Until next week.

I can't wait to sleep on a real bed again.
Well, I guess I'm starting to get back into the swing of things a little. My slow and relaxing summer is over, that's for sure. Not that I'm complaining.
Since my last post I packed all my stuff at home. It took two days to go through everything and decide if I wanted to bring it, leave it, give it away, or throw it out. Deidra was a biiiiiiig help, even though I felt bad that the last time I spent with her this summer was doing that. (She swore she didn't mind, but I dunno). I also got my hands on a copy of X-men: First Class finally. And by Wednesday morning I was off to Ottawa. The trip was boring for the most part. There was a bunch of construction on the way there so we probably got delayed like half an hour.
Unfortunately, my bed won't be coming in until tomorrow so I actually ended up sleeping the past two days on a pile of cardboard and some blankets lol. It wasn't very comfortable at all, but I've slept in worse conditions. Tonight I (thankfully) get the air mattress since my parents are now staying at a hotel.
I haven't finished sorting my room out yet but that will get done over the next couple of days. My clothes are all put away at least.
I remember watching Rubber before, I quite enjoyed it actually. I think I just thought the whole thing was so funny and ridiculous because I mean, really, it's about a flipping tire. A tire that can apparently think and has super brain powers.
Kate, I can't think of any ridiculously named cities or towns around where I live really.
Fun fact of the day: Did you guys know that German Chocolate Cake isn't named that because it comes from Germany, it was named that because an American with the last name German made some chocolate thing that was part of the original recipe, so they named the cake after him. I didn't know that until a couple weeks ago.

I'll Be Transferred to PIGFARTS!
I think the only way I would ever be 100% committed to going back to school would be if I were going back to Hogwarts. I mean, how could anyone ever be sad or depressed or dejected about going to a castle in the wilds of Britain to learn magic. I bring this up only because I spent the afternoon watching A Very Potter Musical, and am going to watch A Very Potter Sequel this evening. Actually I am starting it now. It's been forever since I've watched them. In fact, I don't think I ever finished the sequel the first time I watched it.
I spent yesterday in bed because I was feeling sick. I woke up at 6am with an intense feeling that I was going to vomit. Thankfully I didn't, but it left me feeling terrible the entire day. I'm feeling a lot better today though. I don't know what caused it. My mother immediately made the joke that I was already homesick. I didn't find her humour particularly humorous.
Congrats Campion on finishing your exams. It's always a great feeling to be through with them. The trailer for The Amazing Bulk is just terrible and hilarious. I have no idea how you could have possibly watched it all the way through. On the subject of strange movies, have you ever heard of Rubber? I haven't seen it, and I actually thought it was a fake movie the first time I heard about it. But it's real. Made in France, apparently, it's a movie about a tire that has telepathic powers. I don't know, maybe you will like it.
Anyway, I think I am going to spend some time doing art and watching AVPS. Enjoy your weekends!
